Massive Entertainment releases the much-anticipated Star Wars Outlaws video game this week.

It’s the first open-world action game for the franchise and is set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Gameplay follows Kay Vess, a Han-Solo style entrepreneur who is pulling together a big heist to pay off gambling debts.

Players can transfer easily from gunfights with other criminal gangs on the surface of planets to dogfights in space. Each world’s playable area is large with plenty of opportunities to steal stuff or pick up skills from various experts after gaining their trust.

Disney has committed to releasing one new gaming title per year from various gaming studios. Upcoming titles include EA’s sequel to Jedi: Survivor and Quantic Dream’s Star Wars Eclipse.

Star Wars Outlaws is available from August 30 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
