Ms. Marvel Trailer

Dropped today was a trailer for upcoming Disney series Ms. Marvel.

Based on Marvel's first comic book series to feature a Muslim character in the lead role - Kamala Khan - this trailer showcases some solid writing but also a few oddities.

The Man Who Fell Peek

Showtime have released the first five minutes of upcoming series The Man Who Fell to Earth and it's rather good.

It serves as a broad but solid introduction to the main character and is ripe with promise for a great story.

Parallels

Disney have released a trailer for an upcoming French series which is being described as sci-fi adventure with a touch of comedy and a little bit Stranger Things.

It's called Parallels and is about a group of teenagers who while hanging out together one evening become a bit messed up in time.

Halo Drone Promo

On Sunday evening during the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, a drone swarm appeared in the skies and formed a giant, scannable QR code.

Some people appear to be but we're not impressed by this one.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds last week released their season one teaser and it lives up to its strange moniker.

Prior to this we had been reservedly optimistic. Now we're just confused.

Dune BAFTA Wins

Jane Campion did quite well this weekend with her The Power of the Dog winning best film at both the Directors Guild of America Awards and the British Academy Film Awards, and her best director at the BAFTAs.

Dune missed out on best film at the DGAs but cleaned up at the BAFTAs with five wins - cinematography, original score, production design, sound and special visual effects - out of eleven nominations.

Eccleston on His Own

At Melbourne's Supanova the weekend before last - yes, sorry, we've been a bit slow getting to this one - Christopher Eccleston ruled out returning for a multi-story Doctor Who story because he regards them as creative exploitation. Cashing in.

Seeing stories run with his name and exploitation in the title immediately set off alarm bells given events surrounding his departure.

The Boys Season 3 Teaser

We now have the first teaser trailer for season 3 of The Boys and it's a shocker.

On first view it's non-stop action set to a snappy tune and the standout is what appears to be supe-hating Billy (Karl Urban) now with laser beam eye superpowers, but upon closer examination - much pausing - there's a lot more to this.
