Wifelike

Paramount have released their trailer for a dystopian robo-wife film called Wifelike.

It feels incredibly B grade and rifling through the writer / director James Bird's very brief film history doesn't inspire confidence.

Xenoblade Explained

Without any previous experience of the property, June's action roleplaying game Xenoblade Chronicles 3 trailers left us scratching our heads in bewilderment.

Maybe it wasn't just us they confused because those have been followed up with a great 8 minute introductory trailer which sets up the game's story then demonstrates and showcases key features.

Resident Rubbish?

Netflix's Resident Evil series released on the 14th and rocketed into second position on Netflix's series chart with an impressive 72 .7 million hours viewed in its first week.

It presently has a critic 51% (average 5.9 / 10) and viewer 26% (average 1.8 / 10) score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 3.7 / 10 rating on IMDb.com.

Kurt Russell and Son

Kurt Russell and son Wyatt Russell have joined the cast of Apple's live action Godzilla and Titans series.

For Kurt it will be his first time on television since 1977 in the original Hawaii Five-0.

No Man's Endurance

No Man's Sky have released a literally freighter sized update titled Endurance. Possibly a reference to the developer's endurance through a tumultuous launch and its aftermath.

It brings a major overhaul of building on freighters and their capabilities (eg. scanning planets from space), organic frigates, living ship upgrades, new spatial phenomena to explore and greater variation and size of asteroid fields.

It's Not Brain Surgery

Biotech company Synchron have conducted their first U.S. human BCI (brain-computer interface) implant as part of a clinical trial.

That's fascinating in its own right but when looking for information about the company, we discovered that they formed in Australia and conducted trials here first.

Lightyear at Lightspeed

Pixar animated comedy Lightyear which premiered in cinemas on June 17 is coming to streaming service Disney+ at lightspeed, touching down on August 3.

Just as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which began streaming on June 22 after its May 6 cinema release.

SnyderVerse Scrutiny

Rolling Stone have published an article which paints a sinister picture of the social media foundations underpinning former Warner Bros. director Zack Snyder.

It's moderately explosive, detailing evidence of fake accounts and suggests that Warner Bros. suffered significant financial damage as a result.

Blizzard are one of the biggest names in gaming but courtesy of allegations of unsavoury workplace practices and infamously unpopular monetization of fantasy online roleplaying game Diablo Immortal, their brand is presently a bit on the nose.
