Atomic Heart Combat
Posted By:

Whoopsie. We missed post-apocalyptic alternate Soviet history retrofuturistic action roleplaying game Atomic Heart's new combat trailer for Gamecom.

Which may be the highlight of all Gamescom reveals so far.

It's wild.

You occasionally see this title described as a Russian Fallout 4 and there's some truth in that analogy but Atomic's combat is spectacular.

Previously they had only shown some melee and gun focused action in relatively early in development footage.

This one showcases the game's techno-wizardry with a tentacle emitting cyborg implant embedded in your left hand.

There's expected stuff like lightning and ice but also the ability to form your tentacles into a cord which can be used to plug into robots, in combat.

Possibly something like the originally promised but ultimately cut before release Cyberpunk 2077 monowire hacking ability?

With what Russia's currently doing in the real world it feels weird to be excited for this game, but it impresses nonetheless.

What precisely the lesbian robots are doing is a mystery.

They possess twirly tentacles like your character.

Could they be your mothers?

Possibly they feature prominently in this trailer to signal that this product and its developers are not the Russian government - who are not exactly homosexual friendly.

Atomic Heart doesn't have a precise release date yet but is scheduled to launch in the final quarter of this year on PC (Steam), Xbox and PlayStation.
