Russell T Davies is presently under fire in the media over remarks he made about UK Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries and it is being associated with Doctor Who.

To begin with, this incident has involved no direct communication between Davies and Dorries.

Dorries criticised the BBC and their hiring practices at a conservative function.

Then at an awards ceremony, a reporter asked Davies to comment on her criticisms. He did.

His response included some strong language.

Claiming that he launched a rant, foul-mouthed or otherwise, at Dorries is arguably figuratively true, but misleading.
