The developers of upcoming space adventure game Deliver Us Mars have announced a launch delay from September 27 to February 2, 2023.

Citing the entirely usual and expected reason of wanting the game to be its best.

At least based on our reactions to the game, we're inclined to think that the developers may be rethinking some aspects of its design.

Our early impression was positive.

It became less so after seeing their first 12 minute gameplay footage trailer courtesy of excessive and excessively snail-paced wall climbing and possibly mishandled puzzle engagement.

Then their emotion dripping I've-got-Daddy-issues developer diary made us want to chunder.

A large segment of the game still looks potentially great but in its present form, not the whole package.

With some careful pruning this one may be salvageable.

Also possible is that the recent roasting of another female protagonist game, fantasy action roleplaying game Forspoken, has these developers concerned about being caught in the crossfire.

Deliver Us Mars will release on PC (Steam and Epic) Xbox and PlayStation, and will release on February 2, 2023.
