Disney's Temperature

Disney have given the go ahead for a TV series adaptation of young adult sci-fi LGBT novel, The Temperature of Me and You.

The novel only released on January 25. Quite a fast turn around as adaptations go but the book was published through Disney and likely they were just waiting on decent book reviews before pulling the trigger on this series.

It currently has a 3.7 (out of 5) score on GoodReads.

Story details?

It tells of a 16-year-old boy named Dylan pining for love while working shifts at a Dairy Queen in the suburbs of Philadelphia. In walks Jordan, a cute boy who happens to live life at 110 degrees Fahrenheit. After the two begin spending time together, Dylan finds himself catching a fever and coughing flames, with Jordan forced to reveal his out-of-this-world secret. The book has been generating its own heat in advance buzz as one of the YA titles to watch in 2022.

Sounds like a setup for endless flaming queen jokes, but also interesting.

One GoodReads review includes:

The main character was Dylan, an out HS junior without a lot of friends, who desperately wanted a boyfriend, then a mysterious cute guy, Jordan, showed up at Dylan's work and accidentally made his Dairy Queen Blizzard ice cream cup explode.

We are having Will and Grace unicorn horn marshmallow fountain flashbacks.

But would they go there on Disney+?

This one doesn't presently have an ETA but might be one to watch out for on Disney+.
