Another game being delayed wouldn't surprise most gamers, but this is one of those bad news / good news scenarios.

Airborne post-apocalyptic survival game Forever Skies have delayed their Early Access launch from this year - what's left of it - to the first half of next.

We've commented on the promise of this title a few times and were initially bummed to hear about the delay but upon examination of the reasons, that U-turned.

Its developers, Far From Home, say that their Steam demo was far more popular than they had anticipated and while most of the feedback they received from that was positive, they want to expand existing and add new features before launching into Early Access.

There's a demo?

We'll have a look at that.

This game doesn't quite excite on the same level as say Starfield, but survival games with futuristic technology are less common than fantasy or zombie.

Additionally this game turns the world on its head.

With players piloting a customisable airbase and approaching the post-apocalyptic landscape from the top (eg. skyscrapers) down.

We're not surprised their demo was popular.

Forever Skies is now scheduled to launch on Steam Early Access in the first half of 2023.
