No this one really is a Ghostbusters game. At Gamescom Illfonic have released a 3 minute gameplay trailer for Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed.

Showing both the perspective of ghosts and busters in this team player versus player title.

Busters first.

It looks true to the franchise with our team of busters running about scanning for ghosts then doing the whole zap and trap thing.

Maybe it is fun to play but looked a bit of a yawn.

Then ghost.

Seriously, we're not the sort who would get a kick out terrifying people but their gameplay looks much more interesting.

Evading busters, scaring people, turning yourself into objects to hide and spookily floating them around.

If nothing else, that's new.

We're not into player-verus-player or playing villains but will applaud Illfonic for their take on haunting.

Well done Illfonic.

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is scheduled to launch on October 18 on PC (Epic), Xbox and PlayStation.
