This week the CW Network released a trailer for their upcoming Gotham Knights series. We wouldn't call it impressive and some publications are straight up calling it awful.

Though not immediately. Seemingly only after negative public response.

The trailer was quickly followed by an official tweet from Gotham Knights the video game developers that the show and game are unrelated.

Message from the Belfry: the #GothamKnights game and the upcoming TV show of the same name are separate projects with no connection to one another. We can't wait for you to experience the action of our Gotham Knights soon.

Many CW programs are tailored for a young adult audience and Gotham Knights seems to be another.

We have very little personal experience with tween content but the trailer seems to be very mediocre even by those standards.

Gotham Knights the television series is scheduled to release in 2023.

Gotham Knights the computer game releases on PC, Xbox and PlayStation on October 25.
