Director James Gunn has tweeted a wrap announcement for the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy.

That's slightly interesting in its own right but when sharing the news he also teased a secret.

Zoe Saldana was not in the group photo he shared and in a followup he revealed his only photo of her there included an unannounced actor.

Marvel do love their secrets.

Speaking of Zoe, earlier this year Paramount surprised everyone including the actors when they announced that the long awaited next Star Trek film would begin shooting this year and release the next.

At the time Zoe was filming Guardians.

She still has several Avatar films in the works so isn't exactly free now but at least might be in a position to think about Star Trek.

Maybe we can expect news on this front soon.

Last we heard, Chris Pine still hadn't seen a script.

You'll next be able to see the Guardians in a December holiday special on Disney+.

Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 is scheduled for cinema release in May 2023.
