Nikkei Asia reports that A.L.I. Technologies have unveiled the Xturismo, a flying motorcycle which they intend to deliver to customers next year.

A limited number of customers. Two hundred. Purchase price $682,000 US.

California based JetPack Aviation had previously, in 2019, unveiled their equivalent, the Speeder which they heralded as the first flying motorcycle.

Also a limited run. Twenty. No ETA. $10,000 payment required to be considered for one. Purchase price $380,000 US.

Along with its heftier price tag, the Xturismo also sports a longer flight time - up to 40 minutes at top speed compared to the Speeder's 10-12 minutes.

We haven't arrived in the everyone-has-a-flying car future yet - those are also in development - but these bikes represent another sci-fi staple beginning to pass into the realm of reality.
