Kurt Russell and son Wyatt Russell have joined the cast of Apple's live action Godzilla and Titans series.

For Kurt it will be his first time on television since 1977 in the original Hawaii Five-0.

His casting also potentially intersects with Stargate and Star Trek.

Recently Giant Freaking Robot claimed that Amazon were attempting to reassemble the cast of the original Stargate film for a potential reboot.

In the original film he played Jack O'Neil, not to be confused with the Jack O'Neill - with two Ls - played by Richard Dean Anderson in the later television series

Kurt's casting in Godzilla might not preclude his appearing in a new Stargate series or film but it does make it less likely.

It also means that if Amazon had wanted Kurt, this would have been made known to Apple during his contract negotiations and GFR's source could have learned of it there.

Matt Shakman who is currently set to direct the next Star Trek film will be directing the first two episodes of Godzilla and Titans.

While Paramount had announced that Star Trek would begin filming in the coming months, that doesn't seem likely with still no word of a script or signing any of the main cast.
