A little under two months after the game's release, the first DLC for tactical card battler / superhero social sim Marvel's Midnight Suns will release on January 26.

The Deadpool DLC trailer is titled The Good, The Bad and The Undead. Speaking of bad, there's the capitalization of the second and third the's in that title.

Nevermind. We have seen worse. Grammatical offenses we mean. The trailer is ok.

It will be interesting to read - we don't play this one - how much actual content is in this DLC.

Specifically, how substantial are the story missions?

All signs point to sales of the base game having been poor.

Colour us unsurprised. We always regarded the idea of a card tactical roleplaying game as extraordinarily niche.

If they're now rolling out underwhelming DLC - which were pre-sold as part of a $76 (Oz) 4 DLC season pass - that's not going to improve its appeal.

As we saw with last year's looter shooter Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.

New characters coming in the later Midnight Suns DLC are Venom, Morbius and Storm.

After the Morbius film sucking so hard - we wasted a few hours sitting through it once it hit streaming - hard to imagine much eagerness for that one.

On the other hand, Deadpool is dead cool. The Ryan Reynolds films have been awesome.

Maybe this DLC will do well on the strength of his character alone.

The Deadpool DLC for Marvel's Midnight Suns releases on PC (Steam and Epic), Xbox X|S and PS5 on January 26.
