That Netflix have designs on breaking into gaming is well known and they've already published a small collection of mobile games, but in the description for a newly announced animated kids title is the word we've been watching for.

Interactive.

Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous: Hidden Adventure.

In a standalone interactive adventure, the campers, desperate for food, work together to find a hidden stockpile.  They must risk everything to uncover clues in search of its location, ultimately exposing previously unknown secrets of Isla Nublar.

There are no details on what this interactivity will entail and we don't want to instil any grand expectations.

This is a children's program and the games they've published so far are relatively basic.

But these could be Netflix's baby steps in what is still the largely unexplored realm of interactive television.

Something which we have an interest in and which William Shatner is working on with his mixed-reality TekWar series.

Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous: Hidden Adventure doesn't have a release date yet but is scheduled for this year.

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous' fifth and final season is set to release on July 21 on Netflix.
