A teaser has been released for dystopian epic The Creator.

Directed by Gareth Edwards who brought us Rogue One, the film is set in a not too distant future where humanity is at war with an advanced A-I we created to protect ourselves. The A-I takes the form of both old-school robots and eerie-looking androids.

A special forces agent played by Tenet’s John David Washington is sent deep into the heart of A-I territory to hunt down the Creator of the AI and retrieve a weapon that could potentially end the war.

Joining Washington is Eternals' Gemma Chan, Inception's Ken Watanabe and veteran actor Allison Janney.

The Creator hits cinemas September 29.
