Ridiculous Zack

After just recently teasing some kind of continuation of his DC Justice League stories which most were not expecting, film director Zack Snyder has teased a "ridiculous scale" roleplaying game related to his Netflix Rebel Moon films.

The first of which is expected in December.

The one thing that I’m really having a really good time with is — and I don’t even know if I’m supposed to talk about it — this RPG that we’re doing that is just literally insane and so immersive and so intense and so huge.

We're expected to believe that he doesn't know if he's supposed to talk about it?

That's not how big budget game development works.

Or probably relationships with Netflix.

Speaking of, his tease comes simultaneously with Netflix making a big announcement about upcoming mobile titles.

Seems coordinated.

Zack's promise sounds like pure hype and something no gamer would actually believe.

But the thing with PR is you aren't always the target audience.

Might non-gamers be mesmerized by his vision?

We can't say.

The Rebel Moon films are touted as competition for the likes of Star Wars which has spawned numerous games, including Star Wars Jedi: Survivor due out in April.

Definitely interesting to see talk of a Rebel Moon game ahead of the film but no gamer would interpret that as a sign of confidence in either.

Games are cancelled all the time and sometimes are revealed when literally nothing more than a concept.

Wouldn't be surprised if the trigger isn't properly pulled on this until December and Rebel Moon has proved itself. Or not.

But we could be wrong and will watch this space with interest.

Rebel Moon (film) will begin streaming on Netflix on December 22.

There is no ETA on the game.
