Ruby Rose Refuted by WB
Posted By:

Australian Ruby Rose recently fired a number of allegations against CW, Warner Bros. TV, Berlanti Productions and several specific staff with whom she had worked on CW's Batwoman.

Warner Bros and one of those staff, Dougray Scott, were swift to respond.

Interestingly their response doesn't follow the norm - an expression of generic contrition, a statement of respect for women, and a promise to be better. Even when allegations are refuted.

In this case both the studio and one of the accused have been completely frank:

Despite the revisionist history that Ruby Rose is now sharing online aimed at the producers, the cast and crew, the network, and the Studio, the truth is that Warner Bros. Television had decided not to exercise its option to engage Ruby for season two of Batwoman based on multiple complaints about workplace behavior that were extensively reviewed and handled privately out of respect for all concerned.

Dougray Scott's response is:

I absolutely and completely refute the defamatory and damaging claims made against me by [Ruby Rose]; they are entirely made up and never happened.

Deadline report that inside sources back up WB's claim about the real reason for Ruby's departure.

Even putting those aside, Ruby's language in the accusations she made against Dougray is remarkable - that he:

hurt a female stunt double......yelled like a little bitch at women and was a nightmare. He left when he wanted and arrived when he wanted [and verbally] abused women.

Her use of "little bitch" is slightly eye-popping and ironic. Maligning his masculinity using an insult which is arguably disrepectful to women while accusing him of gendered abuse.
