SAC_2045 Season 2 Trailer
Posted By:

Netflix have released their season 2 trailer for anime series Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045.

This one came to our attention via Gizmodo's amusingly titled, "Netflix’s Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 Season 2 Trailer Is Very Boring, Actually."

We had to both watch the trailer and read their piece.

Wasn't bored by either, actually.

We agree with their take on the series itself.

The earlier Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is some of the best television ever made.

It's a rare and wonderful thing to see a series inspired by such a unique film as Ghost in the Shell successfully adapated to television.

On the other hand, SAC_2045 is terrible and succeeded only in increasing the rarity of Stand Alone Complex's success.

This season two trailer is even worse than we expected but didn't bore us.

Not only is the trailer terrible but it plasters the directors' names (and other credits) across the screen towards the end.

Are Netflix keen for viewers to associate this mess with them rather than Netflix?

Maybe not.

On looking through their work histories, Kenji Kamiyama directed and was chief writer for Stand Alone Complex and wrote and co-directed SAC_2045.

Would never have guessed that from watching them.

See, not bored.

Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 releases on Netflix in May.

The far superior earlier series, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, is available now on 7+ and Plex.
