Apple have released a full trailer for their upcoming series, Severance, which includes some interesting reveals above and beyond their earlier teaser.

Officially described as a "workplace thriller" it is set in a company where some employees volunteer to undergo a surgical procedure to sever their work and personal life memories.

With Ben Stiller as Executive Producer, Parks and Recreation's Adam Scott in the lead role and the teaser's cynical and sinister tone, it originally presented more like a dark comedy, but this trailer shows us the thriller element.

The main character is promoted after his former boss disappears and the higher ups won't comment on their departure.

In this trailer we see that former boss approaching his replacement outside of work and trying to convince him that something is awry.

Cue thrills.

We already know that this company performs brain surgery to separate employees' personal and work lives.

Whatever they're hiding and the depths they'd be willing to plumb in order to keep their secrets must be terrifying.

Blink and you could easily miss her - that's Aussie Dichen Lachman (pictured above) briefly in the trailer who you may remember from other sci-fi titles Dollhouse, The 100, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Altered Carbon.

Severance premieres globally on Apple TV+ on February 18, beginning with 2 episodes and releasing 1 per week for a total of 9 episodes.
