Cyberpunk action roleplaying game, The Ascent, has announced a March 24 release date for Playstation 4 and 5. It had previously been a PC and Xbox exclusive.

Of course there's a trailer.

We haven't played so can't vouch for it but it sold quite well on its opening weekend, has mostly positive (77%) Steam reviews, and decent critic scores typically around the 7 out of 10 mark.

Speaking of Steam, the game is currently 40% off there.

There are a number of obvious similarities but The Ascent is a top down solo or co-op shooter, rather than a strictly solo first person shooter, and has much greater variety in the abilities department.

The Ascent is also set in a space station rather than an Earth city and includes aliens and mutants.

The Ascent is available now on PC and Xbox and will launch on Playstations 4 and 5 on March 24.
