Courtesy of Amazon, we now have a trailer for The Boys season 3 and it clears up the mystery from their earlier teaser - Billy's superpowers.

We particularly appreciate the opening with Homelander repeatedly spewing carefully crafted and sanitised sound bytes to distance himself from his season 2 Nazi signifant other.

Seemingly the public forgive him and there may also be a period of sanity until Homelander violently kills someone in front of a crowd, who then proceed to cheer him.

Then it's back to his old ways.

Or perhaps worse if he no longer has to care about hiding his bloody inclinations from the public.

This season promises to be explosive.

Release all at once or weekly?

That's the question, right?

The Boys flips the bird at many conventions and their season 3 release schedule will also be atypical.

Three episodes will release on June 3, with the remaining episodes releasing weekly until its finale on July 8.
