Two new developments have been reported by SYFY Wire about The Boys spinoff.

It will release through Amazon Prime and has new showrunners, Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters.

Fazekas and Butters have a history of producing great TV, eg. Reaper, Agent Carter, Kevin (Probably) Saves the World.

None of their shows have survived past a second season but were all very niche concept programs, and typically competing for ratings on mainstream US Network, ABC.

Their style is slightly comedic and the majority of their work has been in the mostly real world but a little bit sci-fi realm.

They and this new show seem like a perfect match.
