The Entropy Centre

One of the games which caught our eye during June's Summer Game Fest was time-rewinding puzzle platformer, The Entropy Centre.

They've followed up their enticing trailer with five minutes of gameplay.

Love the premise.

On the moon there's a facility where employees solve puzzles mucking about with time in order to generate entropy energy.

That energy is collected and used to undo catastrophes on Earth.

Something goes horribly wrong.

You start the game in the facility with no memory and have to figure it all out.

It's brilliant that they've crafted this story to support the novel platform and puzzle gameplay.

Dialog though?

Like in the recently roasted fantasy roleplaying game Forspoken, you carry a sentient weapon with a questionable sense of humour.

Your own character's is also not likely to win awards.

Entropy's comedy doesn't miss the mark as badly as Forpoken but watching this gameplay made us itch for the option to silence the gun.

Rather than buy the game.

Which is obviously what the developers would prefer.

Players could always just turn the sound off or their volume down but would probably then miss out on much of the story.

The Entropy Centre is set to release this year on PC (Steam), Xbox and PlayStation.
