Tiny Tina's Wonderlands have announced and will imminently launch their first DLC (downloadable content), Coiled Captors.

Less than a month after the game's launch.

That's decidedly on the hasty side.

Both in terms of launching the DLC just a few days after announcing it and for its proximity to the game's initial release.

As DLC's go it's a relatively small one - one dungeon - and that could be disappointing for people who purchased the season pass and might have been expecting more substantial story content DLC.

Also, how long will that "season" and its pass last?

Four months?

Maybe the developers have a strangely hectic release schedule.

Or maybe they've been overshadowed by fantasy Elden Ring or fellow sci-fi shooter RPG Destiny 2's Witch Queen expansion and rolled out this DLC earlier than planned to re-aquire the attention of players.

Though if that was their intention, releasing this or some other content as a freebie might have been a better idea.

This as additional paid content less than a month after the game's launch feels very aggressively monetized which puts Tiny Tina's into even starker contrast with those other titles.
