Included in a looking to Winter and beyond preview for Apple TV+ is the shortest tease for an upcoming sci-fi title that we've seen.
Just three words. I'm not afraid.
The series it belongs to is post apocalyptic drama Wool.
In a toxic dystopian future where a community exists in a giant silo hundreds of stories deep underground, men and women live in a society full of regulations they believe are meant to protect them.
Obviously the rules have some other intent.
Lots of potential there.
Does the three word tease sell it?
Not really.
We think it might be an attempt at cleverness which misses the mark, but not critically.
Knowing we'd have to write about it we looked up series details before watching the preview.
Its lead actor is Rebecca Ferguson who played Lady Jessica in Denis Villeneuve's Dune.
Even being fairly good at recognising faces, we're not sure we would have recognised her otherwise.
Fear is the mind killer - the Bene Gesserit Litany Against Fear.
Jessica is Bene Gesserit.
Clever if you recognise her and know Dune, but doesn't sound daft or random if you don't.
So we'll applaud this one.
And hope that the series also impresses.
Wool is scheduled for a March 2023 release on Apple TV+.
