Netflix have released a trailer for The Silent Sea.

With the series scheduled to begin streaming next month this is the first footage released for it.

Previously there had just been promotional images and interviews.

Presently the English version isn't available on any official Netflix YouTube channel. Just two third party ones. Netflix channels for Asia, Philippines and Indonesia carry their versions.

We would guess that this trailer is freshly minted.

A long and highly anticipated title, we were aware of it but had been waiting for this footage.

What's it about? Based on a short film by the same writer and director for this series:

During a perilous 24-hour mission on the moon, space explorers try to retrieve samples from an abandoned research facility steeped in classified secrets.

Danger, limited time, the moon and government research secrets.

Those are solid sci-fi ingredients and judging by the trailer, they've been well baked.

The Silent Sea will release on Netflix on December 24.
