HBO have released the trailer for Avenue 5's second season and given it an October release date.

In May Deadline reported that the series was unlikely to get a third season but it hasn't been officially cancelled.

Does it truly have a chance at continuing?

Or are HBO simply deferring a cancellation announcement until after season 2, in order to maximise viewing numbers?

We could only guess but the few episodes we watched failed to impress.

This trailer also evokes a sense of mediocrity.

Avenue 5 season 2 will premiere in the US on October 10 and we'd expect it to arrive here on Binge the same or following day.
