The first triple A sci-fi game release of 2023 is the remake of 2008's horror survival Dead Space, and we now have its launch trailer.

Having not played the original, we're not sure what to make of this one.

But we are curious to see how it's received.

December's The Callisto Protocol which was made in the same style and by Dead Space creator Glen Schofield now heading his own company met with very mixed reviews.

The remake essentially being the same game but with updated graphics, they're both Glen's babies.

Is there much buzz for it?

From what we've seen, not much. Some fans of the original keen to play again with modern visuals.

On Steam's list of top-sellers excluding free-to-play games, it's all the way down at 22 and further down at 31 for top wishlisted.

Neither suggest great hunger for this title.

The Dead Space remake launches on PC (Steam and Epic), Xbox X|S and PS5 on January 27.
