Netflix's PR people are too astute to waste any heavy hitters against the likes of Avatar or Wakanda Forever but don't like to completely bow out of any tussle.
So we have some characteristically mid and low range entries from them this week in Warriors of the Future and Hot Skull.
With Marvel's second Black Panther film, Wakanda Forever, releasing in cinemas this week, there has been the typical trickle of teasers - Remember, Namor, Lift Me Up, One Week, Live.
Including a typical amount of repetition in their content. Regardless they are superb.
So the internet is abuzz with reports that Jennifer Lawrence regrets her Passengers role - the creepiest "romance" film we've ever seen - and that Adele advised her not to do it.
A few weeks back, DC's Black Adam released in cinemas alongside action roleplaying game Gotham Knights. It looked like dark day for the franchise with generally unfavourable critic response to the film, and mixed but quite savage reviews for the game from several major publications. Today on Rotten Tomatoes, Black Adam sports a 40% critic and 90% viewer score. Only half a world between those.

While Netflix has a respectable and growing science-fiction library and those titles were present in their Tudum fan event, there wasn't much in the way of substantial sci-fi news or footage.
Hellbound - which we're not sure yet is sci-fi - was renewed for a second season. We got a teaser for They Cloned Tyrone, which looks much less sci-fi than its name might lead you to believe. Plus a teaser for a new anime series Moonrise.

Despite having previously described his time in the role as done and a return not on the table, Hugh Jackman is now set to return in the role of Wolverine in Deadpool 3.
The announcement came via a twitter video posted by Deadpool himself, Ryan Reynolds.
