Violet McVinne, A former cinematic designer for Bioware, has tweeted video footage of a private joke type additional ending to action roleplaying game Mass Effect 3.
It's a little bit romantic. Player character Sheppard makes out with bad guy the Illusive Man.
Another year, another N7 Day celebrating roleplaying game series Mass Effect, and another small tease.
Last year was just one image and the promise of another game. This year some footage with a coded message. Later republished decoded with another image and message.
This week a first look at Westworld season 4, pop culture is back at Supanova Sydney, new sci-fi animation from HBO, aliens attack a live news webcast and find out which is Australia's best sci-fi streaming service.
Game giveaways are becoming increasingly commonplace and not typically something we bother commenting on but Amazon have announced the Mass Effect Legendary Edition will be available for Amazon Prime members to claim on July 12-13 (US).
Video Games Chronicle report that an N7 day lithograph description may have unintentionally revealed plans for the next Mass Effect game to see a return of major character Shepard from the original trilogy.
That description has since been altered and officially brushed off as a mistake but with ambiguous language which doesn't explicitly deny Shepard's return.
There's more than a few of those - sci-fi universes - banging about so you might not be especially excited by the prospect of every new one.
But this one's a little bit different. Former Mass Effect trilogy and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic director Casey Hudson has formed his own studio and they've unveiled plans for a new game.
