US Network Peacock have released the trailer for as wacky as it sounds upcoming nun fighting an A.I. apocalypse series Mrs. Davis which in Australia is headed for Binge.
Comedically we wouldn't say its hitting every joke out of the park but on the whole we like what see, with two notes. One of those is potentially problematic.
Speaking ahead of Mrs. Davis' pre-release screening at Austin's SXSW event to The Hollywood Reporter, executive producers Tara Hernandez and Damon Lindelof have touched on the sometimes touchy topic of religion, as did we.
Saying that it felt "subversive and terrifying" to write a cool nun-heroine at a time when religious professionals are rarely viewed as heroic.
Having seen Sally Field (The Flying Nun) recently receive a lifetime achievement award from the Screen Actors Guild it is perhaps timely for American streaming service Peacock to pit a nun against artificial intelligence in Mrs. Davis.
Not a conflict we would have dreamed up but it's attention grabbing and their teaser isn't terrible.

Amazon have renewed virtual time travel series The Peripheral for a second season, saying pretty much nothing else on that point.
Finally pushed out of the airlock, however, is HBO's Avenue 5. Deadline reported the series probably finished in May last year well ahead of its season two screening.
This year's Critics' Choice Best Animated Series winner Harley Quinn is gifting us all with A Very Problematic Valentine's Day Special. For which there is a trailer.
Critical acclaim for HBO's (available in Australia on Binge) series adaptation of fungal zombies post-apocalyptic action adventure game The Last of Us is near universal.
It currently sports a 99% critics and 96% viewer score on Rotten Tomatoes - from 114 and 3157 ratings.

More than a year ago we scoffed at the "explanation" clip following the first six episodes of The Nevers, and are surprised to be reading that HBO have freshly cancelled it.
And along with Westworld, it will be removed from their streaming service.
HBO's upcoming zombie apocalypse drama The Last of Us starring Games of Thrones' Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey just upped the dragon factor in their trailer.
Ending with a giant reptilian thing climbing out of a pit. We don't want to say lizard because its front feet look more like human hands.
