Roses for Ed

NASA have paid a small tribute to one of our favourite shows, The Orville, by using several character names and a fictional off world medical school in an example table in an official document.

ROSES - Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences - 2023. It's not quite as interesting as a talking flower voiced by Bruce Willis but Seth and the rest of The Orville gang are probably pleased.

TVLine has published an official no update update on The Orville's season 4 renewal status, with a quote from Craig Erwich, President, ABC Entertainment, Hulu & Disney Branded Television Streaming Originals.

While some (eg. ScreenRant) are decrying doom it's really a no news message.

Disney Orville Whoopsie

Seth MacFarlane has tweeted of a technical glitch resulting in The Orville's season three final episode's absence from their new home on Disney+.

Is season three available on Disney+ here in Australia? We looked ourselves just now and it seems not.

Orville On Disney

Here in Australia but not everywhere overseas, The Orville's first two seasons have been on Disney+ courtesy of Disney owning Hulu.

During the San Diego Comic-Con series creator, showrunner and star Seth MacFarlane announced all three seasons coming to Disney+ on August 10.

Dolly Feels Honoured

Dolly Parton has expressed honour to have been on The Orville following her appearance in its most recent episode Midnight Blue.

In The Orville's simulator as a simulacrum of her good self.

TrekMovie.com have published an interview with The Orville writer / executive producers Brannan Braga and David A. Goodman, and director / executive producer Jon Cassar.

They definitively reiterate that The Orville hasn't been cancelled.

Hulu has dropped a trailer for The Orville: New Horizons (aka season 3) and it looks like more magnificant content from a show which has quickly become a fan favourite.

The good news continues - SBS On Demand have announced that they're fast-tracking its release in Australia for June 3, which will effectively be same day as the US.
