Once upon a time, cosplay (costume play), larping (live action roleplaying) and ARGs (alternate reality games) were the domain of geeks but are increasingly becoming mainstream.
How mainstream, you ask? Ahead of its cinema release next month Jurassic World Dominion, or rather the "Department of Prehistoric Wildlife", has launched a dinotracker website.
This week an old favourite is returning to screens, a look at Gene Roddenberrys' Star Trek virtual museum, we roll the dice with a local RPG club and the dinosaurs are back to reclaim their dominion.
The Guardian have published a short interview with Australian actress Dichen Lachman, whose sci-fi credentials include Dollhouse, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, The 100 and most recently, Apple's widely acclaimed Severance.
Fair warning - the interview is a little bit spoilerish for Severance.
While sadly some of the reveals at this year's Cinemacon were exclusive to attendees, one which has been shared with the world is the new Jurassic World Dominiontrailer.
What's to be said other than it's action and dinosaur packed?
