Thunderous Love

This morning while breakfasting we watched newly released on Disney+ Thor: Love and Thunder. It is much better than both its trailers and reviews suggest.

Then we read news of the death of Queen Elizabeth II. We would have recommended watching this film anyway, but it feels especially poetic on this day.

Love the Thunder?

Early reviews are in for Marvel's Thor: Love and Thunder and critics are split with it earning a low for the MCU 71% critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Our having generally found its trailers to be underwhelming, we're not entirely surprised.

Thor's Speech

Marvel have an established track record of making great films and Thor: Ragnarok was one of the best, but their promos for Thor: Love and Thunder have all felt a bit lacklustre.

This new trailer titled Speech is similarly good but not earth-shattering.

It's a moment already shown in a previous trailer - Thor, Mjolnir and Jane - but a longer segment.

A full trailer has dropped for Marvel's Thor: Love and Thunder and we feel it has better rhythm than earlier promos.

Will the film be as good as Ragnarok which is one of Marvel's finest? We don't know but are curious to see how it fares.

Thor's next installment Love and Thunder was shot here and we recall seeing temporary park closure signs at the time.
