Babylon 5 Secret Project

Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski has twitter teased (can we call that tweased?) a secret Babylon 5 project which is finished but won't be revealed until next year's San Diego Comic Con.

Which he describes as "100% crescent fresh".

A Swift Death

CW's Tom Swift has been cancelled a little over half way through its short eight episode first season.

Deadline imply that the show's poor performance might not be the real reason it was dusted, citing "speculation" about the plans of CW's soon to be new owners for a more "wholesome" lineup.

Tom Swift

Taking a scroll through new titles on Paramount+ we stumbled across CW's Tom Swift. The titular character is a gay, black billionaire spaceship inventor. Sounds a bit sci-fi. We pressed play.

It quickly became apparent why this series hadn't shown up on our sci-fi radar. Tom Swift is soap opera with some extremely light sci-fi dressing.

Gotham Knights Trailer

This week the CW Network released a trailer for their upcoming Gotham Knights series. We wouldn't call it impressive and some publications are straight up calling it awful.

Though not immediately. Seemingly only after negative public response.

Gotham Knights Poster

CW have released a poster for their in development Gotham Knights series which we are surprised to learn is unrelated to the identically named computer game releasing this year.

Both titles take place in a Gotham City where Batman / Bruce Wayne is dead and former sidekicks come to the fore but each will feature different characters and stories.

Babylon 5 Still Alive

CW Chairman Mark Pedowitz has confirmed Babylon 5 creator J Michael Straczynski's February report that his series reboot hasn't been cancelled and will be reconsidered next year.

Usually show proposals are either granted a pilot order (one test episode) or binned and forgotten.
