A few weeks back, DC's Black Adam released in cinemas alongside action roleplaying game Gotham Knights. It looked like dark day for the franchise with generally unfavourable critic response to the film, and mixed but quite savage reviews for the game from several major publications. Today on Rotten Tomatoes, Black Adam sports a 40% critic and 90% viewer score. Only half a world between those.

This week a ton of trailers and previews for upcoming Star Trek series, Nick Fury is back in new MCU series Secret Invasion, Westworld creators deliver mind-bending new sci-fi series The Peripheral, gameplay preview from steampunk vampire hunter Evil West and a look at DC's Black Adam.
Another one coming out of the San Diego Comic-Con is a Black Adamsneak peek.
Judging by this and earlier trailers the film looks good without breaking out of the superhero mould, apart from the titular character having a shady past.
