The latest series in the Star Wars TV franchise hits screens next week.

Ahsoka follows the adventures of a character first seen as Anakin Skywalker’s padawan in animated series The Clone Wars, voiced by actress Ashley Eckstein.

Rosario Dawson brought Ahsoka Tano to live action in chapter 13 of The Mandalorian before picking up the lead in this new series.

The story joins Asohka’s hunt for Grand Admiral Thrawn, the Chiss Imperial leader and a major antagonist from animated series Star Wars Rebels. Actor Lars Mikkelsen, who voiced the character in Rebels, also plays the live action character in Ahsoka.

It’s long been rumoured that Hayden Christensen will return for this series, having been seen fleetingly in Obi Wan. The most recent teaser released by Disney refers to him and includes his voice, but the studio remains coy as to whether we’ll actually get to see him playing Anakin Skywalker.

Star Wars: Ahsoka premieres August 23 on Disney+ with two episodes.
