Game studio Behaviour Interactive have announced their next cross-over for multiplayer survival game Dead by Daylight.

The latest killer will be a Xenomorph from film franchise Alien, with new survivor Ellen Ripley also added. The action takes place on the wreckage of the Nostromo within the game’s format of four survivors attempting to hide and escape from one killer.

The cross-over also introduces new interactive map feature called "control stations" that give the Xenomorph stealth capabilities, allowing it to enter and exit tunnels within the game environment. If they can find it, players will have access to a new flame turret which can be used to keep the Xenomorph at bay.

Dead by Daylight has become known for its horror cross-overs which have included Saw, Hellraiser and Ringu.

Dead by Daylight: Alien is due for release August 29.
