The latest sci-fi adaptation to be given the Apple TV+ treatment goes live this week.

Silo is set on a ruined and toxic future Earth where thousands live in a giant silo deep underground, trouble brews when some of the population begin to believe that the outside is not as toxic as they’ve been led to believe.

The series is based on the Hugh Howey books originally titled Wool and follows Juliette, an engineer who goes looking for answers about a loved one’s death and stumbles on a mystery that goes far deeper than even the silo itself.

Early reviews suggest the show has high production values and a strong cast, including GoT’s Iain Glen, Tim Robinson and Dune’s Rebecca Ferguson as Juliette.

Silo's first two episodes premiere May 5 on Apple TV+ with one a week after that.
