Leicestershire Live reports that residents of former coal mining town Coalville in England have discovered a deathstar in orbit.

Kind of.

Council stipulated that a new housing development include a landscaping scheme for the roundabout and rather than country garden, they went with deathstar.

Not entirely randomly. The town was once home to a manufacturer of Star Wars figurines.

Councillor Ozzy O’Shea, council cabinet member for highways and transport said:

The Death Star themed roundabout is rather unusual and we are pleased to see it is now fully operational (but not armed!)
