Dates for Doctor Who’s long anticipated 60th anniversary specials have been announced.

The first of three specials titled “The Star Beast” will premiere on November 25, followed by “Wild Blue Yonder” on December 2 and “The Giggle” on December 9.

They’ll feature David Tennant, whose return as the Doctor was a surprise twist at the end of Jodie Whittaker’s run as the thirteenth Doctor. He’ll be joined by Catherine Tate, reprising her role as boisterous companion Donna Noble.

They’ll be facing off against an all new villain, the Toymaker, played by Neil Patrick Harris. If the trailer is anything to go by he’ll be bringing his trademark camp bad-guy energy to the role.

The specials mark a transition to returning showrunner Russel T. Davies before fifteenth Doctor Ncuti Gatwa takes the keys to the TARDIS for an all new series in 2024.

As the result of a deal struck between the BBC and Disney, Doctor Who will be available outside the UK on Disney+.
