Season 2 of Foundation goes live this week and we’ve been given a sneak peak that provides quite an eyeful.

A scene from an upcoming episodes sees would-be assassins gain entry to Brother Day’s quarters, catching him in the midst of an intimate moment with his robot advisor Eto (not something ever seen in the Asimov novels).

A spectacular fight ensues as Brother Day defends himself while completely naked. Needless to say the scene is tastefully shot, but a lot of actor Lee Pace’s physique is still on show.

The new season will be building up to another “Seldon Crisis”, one of many milestone events predicted by psycho-historian Hari Seldon who created the Foundation to lead civilisation out of the Empire’s inevitable collapse.

Much of the first season’s cast returns to join Pace including Jared Harris as Seldon and Lou Llobell as Dornick. New Asimov characters also emerge such as imperial general Bel Riose, High Priest Poly Verisof and legendary trader Hober Mallow.

Season two of Foundation premieres July 14 on Apple TV+ with season one available to stream now.
