A trailer has just been just released for next April’s Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire.

Or favourite titans are back, teaming up to battle a colossal threat buried deep within our world. The trailer suggests we’ll be getting a solid dose of backstory for both characters but doesn’t reveal much about a (hopefully) epic battle.

Godzilla vs Kong director Adam Wingard is back, making him the first person to direct two movies in the monsterverse. Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry and Kaylee Hottle are also returning, joined by Dan Stevens and Fala Chen.

Wingard has said the bad guy will be a “devilish, kong-type character” who will be a match for the titans, but like the trailer didn't give a lot away about the movie’s antagonist.

Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire is due in cinemas April 12. If you can’t wait that long for a monsterverse hit, the TV series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is streaming now on Apple TV+.
