A sci-fi thriller set on the International Space Station hit cinemas while we were on hiatus.

I.S.S is set entirely aboard the station as scientific collaboration descends into combat. A global conflict breaks out on Earth and quickly spreads into orbit as American astronauts and Russian cosmonauts are each ordered to take control of the station for their own country.

While a somewhat claustrophobic location, the trailer features some memorable scenes of the Earth being consumed by a bright orange blanket of atomic explosions which look spectacular even if not scientifically accurate.

Directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite, the film’s cast includes Oscar-winner Ariana DeBose and was well received at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival.

I.S.S was in US cinemas from January 19 and there are currently no plans for a wider release, but it’s likely the film will get picked up by one of the streaming services. We’ll keep you updated.
