Survival sim Stranded: Alien Dawn has just cleared early access and gone 1.0.

The game is set in the aftermath of a crash-landing on a deserted planet, with the survivors left to contend with their new surroundings including alien wildlife and adverse weather.

Developed by the same team that worked on Surviving Mars and the Tropico series, this game adds storytelling RPG to the sim, with a cast of playable survivors each with different abilities and traits – both positive and negative. Storyline events are generated randomly.

A key goal is to build and develop a base, starting as a simple shelter and working up to a high-tech outpost. A range of survival mechanics are available along the way, including growing food, scientific research, manufacturing weapons and developing technologies such as electricity.

Stranded: Alien Dawn 1.0 is available now for PS4 & PS5, Xbox One & X|S and PC (Steam and Epic).
