Eighties classic sci-fi movie Tron has been released as a game.

Tron: Identity is a detective mystery with an entirely new storyline that builds on the franchise.

For those who haven’t seen the original movie or the 2009 spinoff Tron:Legacy, the story takes place in the Grid, the world inside computers where human-like “programs” serve the “user” - the person actually using the computer in the real world.

In the game you play Query, who is sent to investigate an explosion at the centre of the Grid. Its up to you to extract the information you need from the “programs” you find there.

Play-through is reported to be short at around two hours, but because of the branching paths your choices make in the game you may need multiple plays to get the whole story.

Tron:Identity is available now for Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam).
