All of Us Are Dead Trailer

Netflix's All of Us Are Dead premieres on January 28th and they released the official trailer about a week ago.

The special effects look top-notch and it seems to have all of the typical ingredients for a zombie apocalypse.

Mortal Kombat on Netflix

This week in Australia, Mortal Kombat, which released in cinemas last year, joined Netflix.

It's fantasy / sci-fi - there's a fellow with cybernetic arms in the trailer - and regarded as a bit of a bomb with critics but interestingly even in the midst of the COVID pandemic managed to be HBO's most successful film launch up to that point.

Chosen on Netflix

On January 27, Danish sci-fi teen thriller Chosen will release on Netflix.

It was created and is executive produced by Christian Potalivo and Jannik Tai Mosholt who were behind The Rain which Netflix describe as one of their most watched non-Enligsh language series.

The 2021 Hugo Awards for best science fiction and fantasy writing have been announced.

Author Martha Wells won in two categories, Best Novel for Network Effect and Best Series for The Murderbot Diaries, to which Network Effect belongs.

Last month we looked at the official trailer for Hulu's fresh take on the zombie apocalypse, Mother/Android.

No Hulu for us here downunder but Netflix has nabbed it and set a release date of January 7, 2022.
