Warner Bros. have released the first promo for cloned space explorer film Mickey 17.

That promo is 30 seconds of Robert Pattinson (The Batman), clone 18, in a vat of goo.

Though not in the promo, the film will also star Australia's Toni Collette.

Based on a book, the premise is simple - this work being dangerous, expendable clones are used and when one dies, they whip up a fresh one.

Until one clone is prematurely presumed dead in an incident and replaced.

If anyone learns of the less-dead-than-they-thought clone's survival, both he and his replacement will likely be terminated.

Mickey 17 doesn't have an Australian release date yet but is premiering in US cinemas on March 29, 2024.
