It's true. We were just thinking of him and his feud with George Takei while writing about hints of an on-screen reunion between Kate Mulgrew and Jeri Ryan.

Any chance of the same with the older generation?

Not with George.

I have run out of patience with them.

Though in his new book Boldly Go he confesses to being horrified and ashamed to learn that Nichelle Nichols had found him "cold and arrogant".

And also expresses sadness about his "fraught friendship" with Leonard Nimoy.

The interview doesn't go into much detail on either.
